Brooklyn Meeting will hold our Indigenous Peoples Thanksgiving Celebration on Tuesday, October 16th from 6-8:30PM in the Social Room of the Brooklyn Monthly Meetinghouse. We will have a special Native American feast catered by City Beet Kitchen including Bison Stew, Succotash, Cornbread Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Pies and more. Teachers, elders, and storytellers of the Mohawk, Mi’kmaq, and Matinecock nations will lead us in a spiritual blessing, dance and prayer. It was a very uplifting and moving experience last year and we expect the same this year. If all the national news has got you down, come get an alternate perspective that is good for healing of the body and soul. Feel free to bring a friend or your family for what is sure to be a wonderful time.
With peaceful blessings, Brendan Glynn and Marna Herrity
